e payment status then updated instantly once the transaction is completed. The aim is to create a smoother checkout process for staff and customers while reducing the risk of errors caused by re-entering information by hand.
In a statement on the partnership, Bassem Lotfy, head of business development at Fawry, said the company wanted to go beyond conventional payment acceptance and embed its services directly into day-to-day business workflows. He said the collaboration with DMS was intended to help automate processes and improve both the speed and precision of transactions in the medical sector and other business environments.
Roa Mamdouh, head of strategic partnerships and alliances at DMS, said the integration was an important step towards more connected and efficient operations. She said the link with Fawry Business would allow transaction details and payment status to move automatically between the operational system and the point of sale without manual intervention, adding that the companies were aiming to support hospitals and enterprises with more accurate and seamless daily processes.
The agreement fits into a broader push by Egyptian businesses to reduce dependence on cash and strengthen digital payment infrastructure. Electronic payment systems in Egypt are generally designed to make fund transfers faster, improve financial security and support wider digital transformation efforts, according to the Egyptian Clearing, Settlement and Central Depository Company.
Fawry has built a large payments network in Egypt, with a platform spanning banks, digital channels and hundreds of thousands of agents nationwide. DMS, meanwhile, describes itself as a software and digital transformation specialist serving healthcare, financial and industrial sectors. The latest tie-up adds to a growing number of integrations in the market linking payment tools with enterprise software, as companies increasingly seek unified systems that combine sales, payments and back-office functions in a single workflow.
Fawry said the partnership reflects its ongoing effort to expand its digital business solutions and to embed payments more deeply into the platforms companies already use to manage their operations.
