Maine Pointe and Sophus Technology have announced a strategic partnership aimed at helping companies use artificial intelligence and optimisation tools to make supply-chain decisions faster and carry them through to implementation.
According to the companies, the arrangement combines Sophus Technology’s supply-chain network design software with Maine Pointe’s transformation and execution capabilities. Sophus’s platform is intended to model complex networks, run scenario a...

nalysis and test trade-offs across areas such as production, inventory, sourcing, transport, capacity, cost-to-serve, risk and resilience. Maine Pointe said its role will be to identify where those tools can create the most value, fit them into a client’s existing systems and help deliver the operational changes needed to realise savings.
The firms said the partnership is designed for a market in which sourcing shifts, tariffs, demand swings and capacity constraints are forcing companies to revisit supply-chain decisions more frequently. Rather than relying on static studies, they want clients to use a live digital-twin approach that can be refreshed as conditions change. Sophus describes its software as a modelling and optimisation environment that can be used to examine alternatives before capital is committed or operations are disrupted.
Joseph Esteves, chief executive of Maine Pointe, said the value of a supply-chain model lies in how quickly it can help leaders make better decisions and turn them into economic results. He said: “Sophus gives us a powerful way to model complex networks and test alternatives, while Maine Pointe brings the implementation discipline to translate those insights into EBITDA, cash and growth.” Raphael Yue, chief executive of Sophus Technology, said Maine Pointe’s focus on execution made it a natural complement to Sophus’s software.
The partnership will focus on practical decisions spanning network footprint, production and capacity, inventory positioning, sourcing, transport and distribution. Maine Pointe said it will apply the software within its Total Value Optimisation framework, which links planning, buying, making, moving and fulfilling. The company has previously described that methodology as a way of combining analytics, senior operators and hands-on implementation to improve cost, cash and service at the same time.
Sophus, meanwhile, said the alliance should extend the reach of its platform into operator-led transformation projects, while leaving clients free to retain their broader planning and enterprise systems. The announcement reflects a wider trend among supply-chain technology providers and consultancies towards combining modelling tools with implementation support, rather than treating optimisation as a one-off analytical exercise.
