Logistics a single environment in which teams can compare live, static, contract and consolidation rates alongside local and trucking charges, rather than relying on fragmented tools and processes.
The move comes as air freight procurement becomes increasingly intricate, with operators under pressure to respond quickly to market changes while maintaining pricing discipline. Yusen Logistics said the new set-up should help its staff quote faster, sharpen pricing decisions and improve coordination between regions. The company also plans to connect the platform with its transport management system to streamline operations further.
More than 100 branches worldwide will gain access to the managed network built around the platform, giving the business real-time visibility over rates and service options across its own organisation. Yusen Logistics says this should support greater consistency in quoting and improve alignment between local teams and global procurement.
Eisuke Fukagawa, head of air freight forwarding at Yusen Logistics Global Management, described the project as a significant step in the company’s push towards pricing digitalisation and procurement modernisation. Moritz Claussen, founder and co-chief executive of cargo.one, said the partnership would help Yusen Logistics maintain a stronger procurement and sales infrastructure across its international operations.
The companies said the arrangement is designed to create a dependable reference point for rates, which is increasingly important as businesses look to automate parts of quoting, booking and customer support. For Yusen Logistics, the partnership appears aimed not just at digitising a manual process, but at building a broader operational base for future AI-led workflows.
