According to Julphar, IBM Consulting will lead the transformation from end to end, drawing on its industry expertise and AI-enabled delivery tools through IBM Consulting Advantage. SAP, meanwhile, will provide the enterprise platform at the centre of the change. The company’s move comes as manufacturers in heavily regulated sectors seek to modernise older systems while keeping tighter control over reporting, production and cross-border operations.
Basel زيادة, Julphar’s chief executive, said the collaboration was a key step in the company’s digital journey and would help build a future-ready operating model. He said the initiative was intended to support operational excellence, regulatory discipline and sustainable growth, while reinforcing Julphar’s position as a pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa.
Lola Mohanty, managing partner at IBM Consulting, said the work with Julphar and SAP was aimed at turning digital plans into measurable business outcomes. Sergio Macotta, senior vice-president for SAP in the Middle East and Africa, said the partnership went beyond a technical deployment and reflected a shared commitment to ongoing transformation.
Julphar, based in Ras Al Khaimah, has long presented itself as a regional pharmaceutical player with international reach. The latest programme builds on that positioning by seeking to link core operations more closely, give executives faster access to information and support more responsive decision-making across its businesses.
