n simply a transaction platform. According to CDCi, the system is designed to help organisations modernise procurement procedures, improve oversight and raise operational efficiency through a combination of automation, analytics and integrated workflow tools.
At the heart of the platform is a centralised model that brings together supplier management, sourcing, procurement administration and reporting. CDCi says this approach allows organisations to manage the procurement process from end to end with greater visibility, stronger compliance and a clearer audit trail. The company also points to features including electronic bidding, real-time analytics and intelligent procurement functions, which it says are intended to support better decision-making and more transparent supplier engagement.
Putri Nurul Ida Yahya, chief executive of CDC International, said the award reflects the company’s focus on building tools that respond to practical business needs rather than technology for its own sake. “Technology innovation must deliver meaningful value beyond system capabilities. Through SPEED, our focus is on helping organisations establish more structured, efficient and accountable procurement practices while ensuring that technology continues to evolve alongside their operational needs,” she said.
The recognition also gives CDCi added momentum as it continues to develop SPEED’s intelligent procurement features, system integration and data-driven capabilities. The company says the platform is already used across statutory bodies and institutional organisations in Malaysia, where it supports policy compliance, audit readiness and more structured procurement execution within a secure and scalable environment.
CDCi has also highlighted SPEED’s role in widening supplier participation, saying its onboarding and management processes are designed to make procurement opportunities more accessible to businesses of different sizes. That broader supplier base, the company argues, can help create a more inclusive and transparent procurement environment while strengthening governance.
The award places SPEED within a wider regional conversation about how public and institutional procurement can be made more accountable through digital systems. For CDCi, it represents both external validation and a signal to further expand a platform the company says is built to adapt as organisational demands evolve.
