Munich-based Elevatry has secured €3 million in pre-seed funding to develop its AI platform for strategic procurement, expand its team and prepare for a first wave of market entry in Europe before moving towards North America. startup, founded in 2026 by Heiko Schwarz, Christian Ruck and Tizian Ruck, is positioning itself around a simple but costly problem: many procurement teams still lack the time and specialist bandwidth to apply best-practice analysis across every category, supplier and sourcing decision. Elevatry says its platform is designed to extend that expertise by using AI companions such as Category Strategist, Negotiation Coach and Risk & Integrity Manager to take on routine analytical work across the source-to-contract process.
The company describes its system as more than a conventional workflow tool. Instead of acting as a static repository, it aims to function as an “initiative” layer that can prioritise tasks according to financial impact, prepare recommendations and work alongside human decision-makers. Customers can set their own levels of autonomy, approval requirements and data sovereignty through an open multi-LLM architecture, according to the company.
Elevatry argues that the commercial stakes are large. It says strategic procurement can materially affect cost, quality, supply resilience and compliance across a company’s purchasing volume, and that even modest gains can translate into outsized financial returns. The startup’s pitch is that procurement teams often only have enough capacity to actively manage a limited share of suppliers and product groups, leaving value on the table.
The company says the fresh capital will be used to further build out the platform and companion portfolio, while also supporting go-to-market work as it prepares for launch activity in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as the wider EU. Hiring is expected to increase in engineering, artificial intelligence, marketing and customer support.
Bayern Kapital said it sees Elevatry as part of a broader shift towards agentic AI in enterprise software. Monika Steger, managing director at the investor, said the platform addresses “a significant efficiency and value creation lever” and praised the team’s combination of technical capability and procurement expertise. H&Z expressed similar confidence, saying the company’s approach could automate repetitive knowledge work and strengthen decision-making in procurement functions.
Elevatry’s financing also arrives against a backdrop of increased investor interest in AI-led procurement tools across Europe. EU-Startups reported that several related rounds have been announced this year, including Paris-based Pivot’s €34.4 million Series B, Italy’s Soource at €3 million, and German startups Procuros and Finches, which raised €20 million and €2 million respectively. Taken together, those deals suggest that procurement infrastructure is emerging as a meaningful niche within the wider enterprise AI market.
The startup says its platform went live on 28 September 2026. For now, its focus is on proving that procurement knowledge can be captured, structured and applied at scale, with the longer-term ambition of taking that model beyond Europe.
