ONCOR Bhawan. According to CONCOR, the two sides examined ways to improve supply-chain efficiency, boost connectivity and support more seamless freight movement for customers.
Swarup said the exchange opened the door to “meaningful collaborations”, stressing the value of partnerships between major logistics players in creating smarter and more efficient supply chains. The tone of the meeting suggests both companies see scope for practical cooperation rather than a purely symbolic engagement, with attention focused on technologies and operating models that can improve visibility and reliability for cargo owners.
The talks also come as Maersk has been widening its India logistics footprint through targeted multimodal projects. Just days earlier, the company announced a dedicated weekly refrigerated rail service from Hyderabad to Nhava Sheva in partnership with CONCOR, designed to help pharmaceutical exporters move temperature-sensitive cargo more efficiently while cutting emissions compared with road transport.
That initiative followed a pattern in Maersk’s recent strategy globally, where the company has been pairing its ocean network with inland transport, digital supply-chain tools and sustainability measures. In India, where logistics reform remains a policy priority, any deeper alignment between CONCOR and Maersk could support faster cargo flows, better intermodal coordination and more technology-driven services for exporters and importers alike.
