tasks and introduce formal review cycles for fuel and BAF adjustments before costs drift too far from the market. Freightos says its Procure tool can automate as much as 90% of manual procurement work, including RfQ generation, carrier management, sanity checks and best-rate calculations. It also says the system is designed to create approval workflows and audit trails for BAF changes between tenders, whether teams use their own methodology or carrier-provided updates.
The webinar will also focus on market benchmarking. Freightos says its Terminal product draws on more than $50bn in commercial freight spend to provide daily spot and contract comparisons, allowing buyers to test whether their rates remain competitive before they negotiate.
The event features Judah Levine, Freightos’ head of research, who will discuss what current market signals mean for specific lanes. The company is also inviting live questions during the session and says registrants who cannot attend will receive a recording afterwards.
The broader market is moving in the same direction. Rival platforms such as Xeneta, Freightify and Info-X have all been promoting systems that replace spreadsheets with centralised rate repositories, automated document ingestion and surcharge management tools. The shared theme is a push for cleaner data, faster updates and less dependence on labour-intensive manual checks as freight procurement becomes more dynamic.
