Community was launched earlier this year as a peer-to-peer space for rated suppliers. It brings together discussion forums, working groups, a knowledge hub of peer-contributed examples, and events and webinars, alongside search, recommendation and peer-matching tools intended to connect users with relevant experts and resources.
EcoVadis says the platform has already recorded strong traction, with global monthly growth of 20%, more than 800 in-depth discussions and an 86% question resolution rate. Participation has been heaviest in the UK, the US, Western Europe and Brazil, with activity spanning chemicals, plastics and materials, manufacturing and heavy machinery, logistics and transportation, and wholesale, retail, and food and beverage.
Under the new access model, forums and webinars are available to everyone, while product-specific EcoVadis support remains limited to rated customers. Some higher-value collaborative features, including the Sustainable Procurement Co-Lab and CPO Roundtables, will stay behind premium access.
Pierre-François Thaler, EcoVadis co-founder and co-chief executive, said the expansion reflects the company’s belief that progress in sustainability depends on collective action. Speaking about the platform, he said: “True sustainability cannot be forced; it has to be built together.”
The Community push also fits into EcoVadis’ wider effort to deepen its role in supply chain sustainability, including work on its Carbon Data Network and related tools for Scope 3 reporting and supplier carbon data.
