At the heart of the conference is Esker’s push to move the conversation beyond basic automation and towards what it describes as purpose-built, agentic AI. Emmanuel Olivier, the company’s deputy chief executive and worldwide chief revenue officer, said finance leaders do not need “another generic AI assistant”, but rather trusted agents embedded in workflows that shape cash, working capital and broader business performance. He added that the company will use the conference to show how its Synergy AI platform is evolving to detect issues, support decisions and coordinate action across Source-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes.
That message reflects a wider shift in enterprise software, where vendors are increasingly pitching AI not simply as a productivity layer but as a way to handle exceptions, surface recommendations and guide users through complex workflows. Esker says sessions in Chicago will focus on practical use cases, including accounts payable and receivable, order management and customer interactions, as well as the business impact of reducing process delays and exceptions.
The company is also promising a first look at the next phase of Synergy AI, with embedded agents designed to operate across finance and procurement workflows under enterprise governance and human oversight. According to Esker, the system will combine explainable recommendations with controls intended to keep users in charge of critical decisions.
Customer case studies will form another strand of the programme. Esker says attendees will hear from companies already using AI automation, with speakers expected to discuss both successes and setbacks as they try to turn technology investment into measurable operational gains.
The conference is open to customers, prospects, partners and other business leaders. Esker has also highlighted a separate VIP experience for a select group of clients, suggesting the company is using the event not only as a product showcase but as a broader effort to deepen relationships around its AI strategy.
