Continental Tire has struck a partnership with Atrium Solutions as part of its push towards a more digital model for emergency road service, reflecting how fleet support is being reshaped by automation, data and real-time communication.
The move comes as commercial fleets place greater value on systems that can reduce delays, improve visibility and replace fragmented manual processes with more consistent workflows. Atrium’s platform is designed to bring service events, commun...

ication and reporting into one environment, with the aim of helping fleets and roadside providers work more efficiently.
According to the companies, the platform combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and workflow automation to support emergency road service management. The emphasis is on faster coordination, clearer communication and better access to operational data, all of which can be used to improve response times and measure performance over time.
For fleet operators, emergency roadside assistance is more than a convenience; it is a critical part of keeping vehicles moving and minimising costly downtime. Continental already offers TrukFix, its roadside assistance service for National Account customers in the US and Canada, which provides 24-hour support for tyre-related breakdowns, a single point of contact and real-time request tracking through its 360° Smart App.
In Europe, Continental’s broader Conti360° service model goes further, covering tyre selection, fitting, monitoring, reporting and breakdown response through a large network of service partners. The company says that scale and structured support are central to helping fleets stay on the road and recover quickly after incidents.
The partnership with Atrium also fits a wider industry pattern. Fleet operators are increasingly adopting digital tools that can deliver live tracking, standardised service processes and more detailed analytics. Recent industry research from Verizon Connect found that AI-enabled tools and GPS tracking are now widely used across fleets, underlining the pace at which technology is becoming embedded in day-to-day operations.
Todd Richardson, president and chief executive of Atrium Solutions, said the agreement marked more than a simple technology roll-out, describing it as part of the sector’s wider evolution towards connected service platforms. His comments reflect a broader belief in the fleet industry that software is becoming central not only to reporting and dispatch, but to how service is planned, measured and improved.
For Continental, the tie-up signals an effort to modernise roadside support at a time when fleet customers are demanding quicker decisions, better transparency and fewer administrative bottlenecks. For Atrium, it offers a foothold in a market where digital infrastructure is increasingly seen as essential rather than optional.
The result is a clearer picture of where fleet service is heading: towards systems that connect operators, service networks and data streams in real time, with the goal of cutting disruption and making roadside recovery more predictable.
