scrutiny beyond a company’s most strategic suppliers to the far larger pool of lower-profile vendors that can still create material disruption when problems multiply.
According to the company, the tool provides continuous visibility across an entire supplier base by combining AI with verified supplier data and external risk intelligence. That includes information on ESG performance, country and geopolitical risk, cyber security, financial health, adverse media and watchlist screening.
Achilles says the platform is built to work alongside existing due diligence and audit processes rather than replace them. The idea is to flag risk hotspots early, allowing businesses to decide where to direct deeper checks, independent audits or additional assurance.
Mark Chamberlain, the company’s chief product officer, said the new offering was intended to give organisations earlier warning of supplier issues and help them use assurance resources more efficiently. Achilles argues that this kind of continuous screening reflects a wider shift in supply chain management, as firms move away from periodic, reactive reviews and towards always-on monitoring supported by digital tools.
The launch fits into Achilles’ broader suite of supply chain risk and sustainability products. The company says its wider platform is designed to turn fragmented supplier information into structured, decision-ready insight, while reducing the burden on suppliers through no-touch screening methods.
