Stolt Tankers has deepened its push into digital operations by bringing in Procureship, the Athens-based maritime e-procurement specialist, to support purchasing across its fleet.

The move matters because Stolt Tankers is one of the sector’s larger operators. It runs 167 chemical tankers with combined capacity of about 3.2m dwt and carries more than 26m tonnes of cargo a year across deep-sea and regional trades, making buying for stores, spares, equipment and services a substantial task.
Procureship says its network now spans more than 100 shipping companies, about 10,000 suppliers and over 2,300 vessels. Founded in 2016, the company has broadened its reach beyond Greece with offices in Copenhagen and Singapore.
The partnership also fits a wider pattern at Stolt Tankers, which has been steadily adopting new technology across other parts of its business. Digital Ship reported that the company recently completed a fleet-wide migration from Veson’s on-premise IMOS system to the cloud-based Veslink IMOS Platform, while Seatrade Maritime said Stolt Tankers has also rolled out Tilla’s crew-change travel platform after pilot projects showed efficiency gains and better cost visibility.
Procureship itself has been widening its remit. Splash reported last year that it teamed up with Danish climate data specialist ReFlow on EmissionPassport, a tool designed to bring product-level Scope 3 emissions data into maritime purchasing decisions.
Stolt Tankers has also been active on the sustainability front in broader industry collaborations, including its role as a strategic partner to the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, where it has pledged to share expertise on fuels, chemicals and operational safety as the sector looks for lower-emission pathways.
