Deputy President Director Oki Muraza said change is unavoidable and that Pertamina’s ecosystem must keep pace with shifts in the energy industry, global supply routes and domestic demand. He said the company needed to keep strengthening three areas: a stronger safety culture, better coordination across partners and a willingness to keep improving in response to future challenges.
M. Erry Sugiharto, Pertamina’s Director of Business Support, said the company’s operational performance cannot be separated from the contribution of its partners. Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty and supply chain disruption, he said collaboration was essential to maintaining national energy security. He also said operational excellence is not only about efficiency and punctual delivery, but also about making Health, Safety, Security and Environment, or HSSE, a shared way of working.
The summit fits a wider pattern in Pertamina’s recent messaging. Last month, the company highlighted the strengthening of its HSSE culture at a jamboree in Palembang, where President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said the state-owned energy firm continues to evolve amid increasingly complex operational, technological and commercial demands.
Pertamina has also been reinforcing ties across its wider network of subsidiaries and business partners. Pertamina Patra Niaga signed strategic agreements with Hartree Partners LP and Phillips 66 in Washington in February to help secure crude oil and LPG supply for 2026, while Pertamina Hulu Indonesia has also stressed industrial relations and internal communication as part of its push to support safer and more reliable operations.
Taken together, the initiatives point to a common message from Pertamina: in an energy market shaped by volatility and disruption, long-term performance depends not just on assets and logistics, but on disciplined collaboration across the entire value chain.
