amount of manual filtering usually required in cross-border procurement.
The latest announcement follows an earlier launch of SourcingAI 2.0, which the company said was intended to support one-stop decision-making across the sourcing process, from supplier discovery and price comparison to qualification checks and order management. Made-in-China.com has also promoted the platform as multilingual, saying it supports more than 15 languages and is aimed particularly at buyers in emerging markets.
The company’s latest release included comments from a Pakistani textile buyer, Haider Alam of Jan Collection, who said the tool condensed product details into a single view and reduced the back-and-forth normally needed to confirm specifications. He also said photo-based searching was a useful addition.
Made-in-China.com said SourcingAI is built to help buyers identify suppliers faster and with less friction, while also creating a new traffic channel for the platform itself. The company added that its supplier ecosystem includes audited vendors verified by inspection groups such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV Rheinland and CTI.
The broader push reflects growing interest in applying generative AI and search tools to procurement, a sector where speed, supplier credibility and language barriers can significantly affect purchasing decisions. While the company is positioning SourcingAI as a more efficient way to navigate those problems, the claims remain those of the platform owner, and independent evidence of its performance has not been disclosed.
