NSG Group has said it has been named a Supplier Engagement Leader by CDP for a fifth straight year, extending a run that began in 2021 and has now been repeated annually through 2025. The latest recognition, published by GlassOnline on 27 May 2026, is based on CDP’s assessment of how companies work with suppliers on climate-related issues across governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions and wider engagement. The Japanese glassmaker said it has put in place a Supplier Code of Conduct and, since September 2023, a Sustainable Supply Chain Charter designed to speed up progress with suppliers on its wider sustainability aims. In its 2025 announcement, NSG Group said supplier partners were increasingly important to meeting its climate and ESG goals, including CO2 reductions and labour and human-rights objectives. CDP, the not-for-profit disclosure body behind the rating, said the framework is intended to encourage collaboration across supply chains. NSG Group also says it is targeting carbon neutrality by 2050 and has an SBTi-certified goal of cutting CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030, versus 2018 levels. (nsg.com)
