The deployment covers core modules including purchasing, sales, manufacturing, warehouse management, finance and accounting and , the companies said , was executed with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Roger Shahnazarian, East West’s Vice President of Operations, said the ERP implementation “played an important role in supporting business operations and provided a foundation for potential deployment at other sites”, and that close collaboration among 3S, Epicor and East West Vietnam was instrumental to completing the work with limited operational disturbance. Leo Klink, General Director of East West Vietnam, told VnExpress the company’s previous system “no longer met its long-term growth and standardisation requirements” and that Epicor Kinetic was chosen to address those needs.
Project work included cross-team coordination to build structures such as bills of operations and manufacturing processes, giving managers greater visibility into business performance, David Douglas, Supply Chain Director, said. Eyu-Jin Kim, East West Director of Strategic Initiatives, emphasised the role of “collaboration and trust” with 3S in delivering the project and supporting future regional initiatives.
3S Software described the rollout as consistent with East West Vietnam’s planning and leadership and framed the implementation as a step towards strengthening management systems to support future growth and ongoing cooperation. The company, established in 2004, is the longest-standing Epicor partner in Vietnam and in 2024 became the first certified Epicor MES implementation partner in Asia, a credential it highlights on its corporate profiles. 3S provides ERP and MES consulting and implementation services targeted at distribution and manufacturing firms, and positions itself as tailoring Epicor solutions to local market requirements through an experienced consultancy team, the company said in published material.
The East West project follows a string of Epicor Kinetic adoptions in Vietnam that illustrate growing local appetite for cloud-enabled and integrated manufacturing systems. Industry accounts show that Vinam (Vietnam American Oil Tools JSC) reported substantial operational gains after its Epicor Kinetic implementation, including an 80% reduction in data-searching time and improved manufacturing execution-system communications. Earlier, 3S Software completed the first Epicor Kinetic cloud deployment in Vietnam for Vinavit Corp in December 2024. Separate integrators such as Data V Tech are also partnering with Epicor to deliver ERP projects for Vietnamese manufacturers, underscoring an expanding ecosystem of vendors and reference cases.
East West Vietnam, an ISO-certified contract manufacturer based in Binh Duong since 2008, employs nearly 1,200 staff and supplies PCBAs, new-product introductions and complete box-build assemblies to both established brands and emerging companies. Company executives framed the Epicor Kinetic rollout as a foundation for broader alignment across the East West enterprise and as a platform to support planned growth and standardisation across multiple sites.
While the companies involved characterise the project as a successful step in digital transformation, the announcement reflects a broader trend in Vietnam’s manufacturing sector: vendors and manufacturers adopting integrated ERP and MES platforms to improve shop-floor transparency, streamline material-requirements planning and enable faster, more data-driven decision-making. According to the statements and regional precedents, East West Vietnam’s implementation positions it to leverage those same benefits as it seeks to scale and standardise operations.
