**USA:** Danos and AXion Logistics have forged a strategic alliance to advance supply chain logistics in the energy sector, leveraging their combined 45 years of experience to create innovative, cost-effective logistics solutions that promise enhanced operational efficiency and real-time visibility for clients.
Danos and AXion Logistics have announced the formation of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing supply chain management and logistics within the energy sector. The collaboration, known as fourth-party logistics (4PL), is designed to amalgamate Danos’ substantial experience in upstream and midstream supply chains with AXion Logistics’ expertise in downstream logistics and transportation.
Both companies bring a combined 45 years of experience in the supply chain sector and intend to establish a joint venture to broaden their range of services. This partnership is expected to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while providing innovative logistics solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of energy businesses.
Scott Theriot, the general manager of Danos Supply Chain Services, remarked, “This partnership with AXion represents a major step in our strategy to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions for the energy sector. By combining our strengths, we are creating a seamless logistics network that will deliver greater value to our clients and set new standards for operational excellence.”
Steve Seymour, President of AXion Logistics, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “By leveraging our complementary expertise and resources, we can develop cost-effective, high-performing supply chain solutions that directly address the industry’s logistical challenges. We’re eager to collaborate with Danos and drive lasting improvements for our customers.”
As part of the agreement, AXion Logistics will offer road transportation and logistics support via Danos’ Larose Distribution Center. This facility is set to enhance storage and tracking operations, integrating Danos’ i2ms technology to allow customers real-time visibility of their logistics. Conveniently located approximately 30 miles north of Port Fourchon and within the Lafourche levee system, the centre is strategically positioned to optimise operations for both offshore and onshore energy projects.
The combination of advanced technology, industry knowledge, and a customer-centric focus will enable Danos and AXion Logistics to transform energy supply chain logistics, aiming for increased efficiency and long-term sustainability within the sector.
Danos Group, a family-owned company established in 1947, is dedicated to leading the energy industry with a commitment to operational excellence, safety, customer service, and maintaining a people-focused ethos. AXion Logistics, founded in 2001, is recognised as a significant player in the 4PL market, delivering high-quality supply chain solutions to various industries while prioritising worker safety and wellbeing.
